Today I would like to share some tips on how to save energy with fashion as we are all now receiving high energy bills and struggling with the cost of living.
Sounds interesting? So let's get to it.
During colder seasons we use thicker clothes to keep nice and cosy, however even though temperatures are low, we still sweat, so how to manage all the washing and drying?
Our tip is to use a soft light-weight T-shirt under your warmer clothes, this way the T-shirt will absorb any perspiration, keeping you comfortable, dry and saving on your energy bill. How? By using a light-weight T-shirt you can reduce the amount of times you have to wash heavier, difficult to dry clothes, reducing your energy consumption.
To keep the clothes you are washing less often fresh, there are a couple of tricks:
1- Clothes freshener= preferably refillable ones for less carbon footprint, with fabric fresheners you can spray your clothes at the end of the day, allow it to dry before putting it away.
2- Put clothes on hangers while you have a shower/ bath= the humidity helps fresh-up clothes and straightens it too.
3- Ozone generator= purchasing a domestic Ozone generator could save on your energy bills, with only 20 min of Ozone treatment your clothes are fully sterilised and odourless. Always check for manufacture certifications and recommendations when using Ozone.

These are simple tips that can have a positive impact on both your finances, the planet and our future generations.
By washing your heavy clothes less you save water, electricity and your clothes will last longer., which means less cost and less waste.
