Seeded tags planting instructions

Let's get planting!

Eco and ethical fashion brand

Now because we are not just another brand, we are here to make a positive impact, we have designed our tags with embedded lavender seeds.

So not only are our tags sustainable, but they also provide you with a unique experience and benefits. Wait what!? Yeap benefits, we put deep thoughts into this and research because we want you to know just how special you are to us and to the world. We are all about small gestures that make a difference, so let's talk about those benefits?

1- Planting reduces stress- it allows you to focus on only one thing and seeing things growing and thriving provides a sense of satisfaction. Have you ever heard dirt is good for you? Oh yes, it is! There is a healthy bacterium that lives in soil, which can increase your levels of serotonin and reduce anxiety.

2- Great family or solo activity- the happiness and stress relief that gardening provides is a remarkable thing to share with loved ones. Also, gardening has special benefits for kids. Early exposure to dirt has been linked to several health benefits, from reducing allergies to autoimmune diseases.

3- Easy to grow and colourful- lavender needs small space, lots of sunshine, and little water to grow well. Lavender is easy to grow in the ground and in a pot as well. Lavender adds a beautiful pop of colour to your home or garden.

5- Great for bees and butterflies- lavender attracts beneficial insects such as bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other pollinators and beneficial insects. Bees are in decline, so, we think, it is a crucial step to help their survival to plant as many flowers bees love, as we can. And lavender is one of their favourites!

4- Aromatherapy- lavender is one of the most used scents in aromatherapy. The fragrance is believed to help promote calmness and wellness.

So, let's get planting?

1- Soak your tag put it into a sealable plastic bag, store the bag in the refrigerator, leaving it there for at least 3 weeks

2- Lavender seeds can take a while to germinate and should be started indoors

3- Fill a container with seed starting mix, make sure it's a light potting mix that drains well

4- Sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil, there's no need to bury the seeds, just sprinkle a light layer of soil over the seeds, and make sure they have access to sunlight to germinate

5- Lightly water the seeds, keep the soil medium moist, but not damp, water the seeds in the morning so that the soil can dry before the evening hits. Soil that is too damp and cool will invite fungus to grow, and fungus will destroy your seeds

6- Lavender seeds can take two weeks to one month to sprout, keep them in a sunny area

7- Once you have sprouts, you can either replant them gently into a bigger vase or plant them outside during the warmer weather and enjoy your gorgeous flowers!

We truly hope this provides you with a lovely experience and that it makes you smile =)
